Our History

Essendon Fields Airport has played a significant role in Melbourne’s economic growth, having served as the city’s international and domestic airport until 1970.

Since 2001, the long term lease to Essendon Fields has been owned by joint venture between the Linfox Group and Beck Corporation (Essendon Airport Pty Ltd – EAPL) providing significant logistics and property experience.

Hyatt Place Melbourne, Essendon Fields is Hyatt Place Brand’s first hotel in Australia. 166 spacious guestrooms, The Australian Events Centre flexible with event spaces catering for 80 guests up to 1,365 guests.

Essendon Fields Airport

Essendon Fields Airport is the main corporate jet port for Melbourne. Regional Public Transport (RPT) services regional Victoria and Flinders Island in Bass Strait with daily flights. Emergency services such as Air Ambulance, Police Air Wing, Aero Rescue, The Royal Flying Doctor Service and The Erickson Air Crane Helicopters play a critical role in the local community.
